Thank you for interest in membership with the Northern Virginia Hiking Club.
To renew your membership or join as a new member please complete our membership application and pay the annual membership dues. You may use our online application or print a paper application.

The paper application can be hand carried to a hike leader at a hike or it can be mailed to the club. Instructions are on the application for completing the form and paying the membership dues.
You can use our online membership application by clicking on the "Proceed to Sign up" button below. Online applications must be paid via credit card. After completing and submitting the membership application a new window will open in PayPal. You can pay your dues with a credit card there. A PayPal account in not required.
Individual membership is $5.00 for a calendar year. ($2.00 after September 1st)
Family membership is $8.00 for a calendar year. ($3.00 after September 1st)
All memberships expire at the end of the calendar year.
The Club no longer mails schedules or membership cards. A limited number of paper schedules are printed and distributed to hike leaders and outdoors stores. Members wanting a paper schedule may print them from the web or pick one up from a hike leader or and outdoor store. Members may also send a self addressed, stamped envelope with a request for a schedule to any hike leader. Email any hike leader for instructions.
Acceptance of the Libility Disclaimer and the Participation of Children rule are required for membership.
Liability Disclaimer:
I do hereby agree to assume all risks and liability related to or resulting from any and all Club functions. I will not hold any of the Club’s leaders, officers, or representatives liable for any injury, loss, or damage to my own person or any members of my family, children, pets, or property, arising directly or as a consequence of a hike or Club activity.
Participation of Children:
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Both the child and their parent or legal guardian must sign and acknowledge the liability disclaimer on the sign-in sheet. Please call the hike leader in advance to verify that the hike is appropriate for children.
