DIRECTIONS TO MEETING PLACES

Centreville Commuter Lot, Centreville VA

Route 29/I-66 near Stone Rd.  Drivers in either direction take I-66 to Exit 52; then go south on Route 29; go about one half mile and turn right into the park-and-ride lot.

Drivers in either direction take I-66 to Exit 62 onto Nutley Street North. At the first traffic light turn left onto Virginia Center Drive and follow the road around the town homes. Turn left into the Metro parking area. Parking is free on weekends.

Here are the new directions:

From Route 7 go ~.8 miles South on Route 28 and take the exit to Nokes Blvd. Route 1793, follow sign that says West and then follow sign to Pacific Blvd. south. At stop light turn right onto Nokes Blvd. and go .1 miles to stop sign and turn left onto Pacific Blvd. Take Pacific Blvd. ~.8 miles and turn right onto road to parking lot just prior to overpass. Along the route you will see brown and white signs that say “W&OD Trail Parking”.

From the Dulles Toll Road go ~4 miles north on Route 28 and take the right exit to Dulles Town Center. Follow the lane that says west, go onto the overpass and continue to stop sign and turn left onto Pacific Blvd. Take Pacific Blvd. ~.8 miles and turn right onto road to parking lot just prior to overpass. Along the route you will see brown and white signs that say “W&OD Trail Parking”.

Carderock Recreation Area, MD

From Virginia take I-495 N (Inner Loop) to the American Legion Bridge. Stay in the right lane and take the first exit in MD (Exit 41) soon after the bridge. Bear left on the exit ramp and turn left on to West bound Clara Barton Parkway. After about a mile, take the first exit opposite the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Turn left on the bridge and go about 0.3 mi. to a T-junction. Turn left and park.

Route 123 / I-95. From I-95 Southbound, take Woodbridge exit (left exit) to Route 1 South. Cross the Occoquan River, pass Annapolis Way and turn right onto Route 123. At the second traffic light turn right onto another Annapolis Way and follow signs into the commuter lot.  From I-95 Northbound, take Route 123 exit. Bear right at the end of the ramp to Route 123 South. At the first traffic light turn left onto Annapolis Way and follow signs to commuter lot.

From I-66 going East (from the Beltway towards DC) take Exit 69, the Washington Blvd./Lee Highway exit. Go straight past traffic light onto Washington Blvd. Follow signs to the Metro. Cross I-66 on the overpass, and turn right into the Metro lot. From I-66 going west (from DC towards Beltway) take Exit 69, the Sycamore Street/Falls Church exit. At the end of the ramp turn right onto Sycamore Street. At the first traffic light turn left onto Washington Blvd. and park in the Metro lot on the left. Meet inside the station near the newspaper stands just outside the turnstiles. Parking is free on weekends.

Prince William Forest Park

Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground Parking Lot

From I-95 in either direction take exit 150B west onto VA619 Joplin Road.  After .2 miles take the second right into the Prince William Forest Park entrance. Go .5 miles and take the first left onto Scenic Drive. Go 2.0 miles on Scenic Drive. past Parking lots A, B, and C on your left and turn left after lot C at the sign for Turkey Run Education Center (TREC).  Go 0.3 miles and turn right at the sign for TREC and Turkey Run Ridge Campground. Go 0.4 miles and park at the TREC parking area just past the campground.

Prince William Forest Park

Pine Grove Picnic Area (back of lot)

From I-95 in either direction take exit 150B west onto VA619 Joplin Road.  After .2 miles take the second right into the Prince William Forest Park entrance. Take the second left into the long term visitor parking/Pine Grove picnic area. After turning left into the lot go straight to the back of the lot. This is an “L” shaped lot, meet at the top of the “L” not to the right.
